Keys are kept in this browser only (localStorage). Or set them once in CONFIG at the top of the script.

Exact overlap: every layer here is served on the same Web Mercator (EPSG:3857) 256-px tile grid as the Stadia tiles on the BRP home map, so tile z/x/y addresses are identical and the overlays register pixel-for-pixel. Tithe scans are warped onto that grid by the corner tool below.

Timeline (4D)

Crossfade8 yrs

Timeline mode shows the survey nearest the chosen year and crossfades into the next one. Manual mode lets you stack any layers with their own opacities.

Tithe scan fitting

Load each parish scan (JPG/PNG/TIFF-as-PNG, any size) with its Load scan button, then Edit corners: drag the four corner handles until field boundaries sit on the 1892–1914 25-inch OS layer (the tithe surveyors' field shapes are mostly still there). The square handle moves the whole sheet. Fits are saved in this browser; export them to keep a copy.
